Corporate Responsibility Consultant

São Paulo - This one-year consultancy position is based in São Paulo and will serve as the interim sub-regional Nike community affairs representative to local and national authorities, local partners, and funding institutions. The key roles of this position include research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, scheduling, and translation. There is the possibility of a long-term contract for the position.

The Nike Brazil CR Consultant will work alongside the Nike do Brasil team in São Paulo and assist the Sr. Manager, Brand Initiatives / PR Manager, Brazil (Nike CR Team) to provide assistance with developing and implementing a CR strategy for Brazil to ensure relevance and alignment with the local business objectives. The consultant will also work in close collaboration with the Global Nike CR Initiative team based in Beaverton (USA) to ensure alignment with the global CR strategy and achievement of social impact objectives.

The successful candidate is expected to have the following attributes:

  • Degree in business, international development or public administration with a minimum of five years work experience in Brazil.
  • Experience with public advocacy, managing social research, NGO due diligence and strategic planning.
  • Experience working in Brazil (or internationally) on youth, sports and community development related projects.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with various non-governmental and governmental institutions, multinational corporations and civil society organizations.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Portuguese for professional networking, group facilitation, reporting and representation work.
  • Brazilian nationals will be given preferred status in hiring
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer software programs, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office suite.
  • The candidate will be self-motivated, able to travel extensively within Brazil and occasionally to Nike headquarters in Oregon and be able to meet project deadlines.
