Corporate Affairs Manager

São Paulo/SP - The candidate will be responsible for directing and managing Mosaic’s Public Affairs team in Brazil. Responsibilities include overseeing internal and external communications, community investment, government relations and brand management. The candidate will serve as the lead spokesperson for Brazil and be a member of the country’s management team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Internal Communications – Set strategic direction and lead an internal communications staff this is focused on communicating to salaried and hourly employees at the company’s locations in Brazil. Responsibilities also include managing the employee web site and newsletter and supporting company-wide employee communications in Brazil. Communications should be focused on informing employees and building an engaged workforce
  • External Communications – Design and execute a strategy for communicating with our key external stakeholders, including the media, non-governmental organizations and customers (this last one in partnership with Marketing area) . Responsible for public web site in Brazil and other communications that are specific to Brazil. Provide institutional guidelines and support to marketing initiatives.
  • Community Investment – Coordinate Mosaic Institute in Brazil keeping alignment with corporate social programs and orientation. Coordinate Brazil’s community efforts with the overall direction of Mosaic and its global operations.
  • Government Relations – Develop government relations strategy that aligns with business goals of Brazilian operations. Build government support in key regions in Brazil where Mosaic either has operations or a large customer presence

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, Ideally in the Public Affairs/communications area
  • Wide experience in a Public Affairs organization, including people management; prefer experience working in international companies
  • Fluent in both English and Portuguese.
  • Strong leadership and strategic skills
  • Executive presence and ability to communicate well with senior managers.
  • Well organized and able to manage competing priorities.
